Just a note to commiserate. we got a new Raven Smoker and planned to season it before Thanksgiving. I have been a loyal Bradley smoker user for over 25 years and have always appreciated the support and quality of their products. I started with an original, upgraded to a digital and now, was very excited to  get their state of the art Raven.
1st one arrived very banged up. As it was a weekend, it took them a few days to respond. But the support folks sent Fedex to pick it up; and the next day after it arrived back to them, sent out a second try.
Just today, we gently opened the box taking pictures every step of the way and sharing the excitement with family; to once again be disappointed that the smoker arrived looking like a slightly used pinata.
As today is Saturday, I boxed it back up and will wait again to contact support. They have been helpful and kind, but the experience has been disappointing. I already prepared a 15-lb prime brisket for a family get-together tomorrow. Guess it is oven-bound until the next Raven lands.
It would be horrible if this was a gift or had I waited to just before the holiday to go through this.

This is a very special process using apple chunks for smoking, absolutely essential for anyone wanting to replicate your results. I can only imagine how delicious they are straight out of the smoker!

Hello all!

This is my first post on this forum. I am currently repairing a BS1019 that has bent pins in both the male chassis connectors, IE the one you connect the meatprobes to. Looks like Hirose connectors, but I rather buy the original cable with connectors instead of solder a new chassis connector. I have searched a lot, but to no avail.

Any tips on where I can find these?

If you're asking if you modify your Bradley smoker to a 900w element whether it will still be covered by a warranty, I'm pretty sure the answer is no. I don't believe any manufacturer would still warrant their product once it has been modified.

Sounds like you nailed the flavor and bark, but yeah, flats can dry out on you. try wrapping in butcher paper instead of foil around the stall (usually 150–160°C)... helps retain moisture without making the bark too soft.

Wrapping during the stall is a good move, but for chuck roast, it usually stalls around 150–160°F, so you hit it about right. Wrapping at a higher temp (like 170°F) can work too but may need more time after to get tender.
