Ok I am definitly trying this. apples and booze, the perfect combo.

"Q"  unlike my bourbon sauce where I tell y'all to use the cheap stuff I would go with Capt Morgan spiced rum or another good rum for this cook.

Since I don't drink I don't know of other rums but I do know that Capt. Morgan's ain't cheap so it must be good. 

Kimmie's cousin will only drink Capt Morgan spiced rum so that's what I went with and it worked great

I used to drink the Captain until I found two others that I like better: Admiral Nelson (has a vanilla flavor) and Sailor Jerry (has a cherry flavor). Additionally, both are cheaper in my neck of the woods.

They got bagged to allow the flavors to mix and will get pulled tomorrow and vac-pak'ed.

I noticed you scored(sp) the fat cap, is that so that so the rub gets to the meat?
