Nepas!
It looks fantastic, it's been so much fun watching it step by step!

Well my neighbor came over with the vent setup. I said hey you dont have to buy all this. He said shut up now, LOL. You make me all kinds of stuff so its my turn to pay back.

We are going with a 6" damper set with a 6" to 4" reducer, Then 4" elbow with pipe and cap. A wall vent that will go in back of the smoker. And aluminum tape to set all the joints and seams.

Here are the vent setup.

You got one pretty cool neighbor there.

You'll be able to do a whole hind quarter of venison in that smoker. I did a hind from a Mule deer and it was great.

Does the cap have a adjustable flapper in it? Real easy to put one in the 4" pipe or cap.

I got to find me a neighbor like that! Mine just eat the stuff and ask if they can have more!!

Hey there Nepas. Is the shiny stuff on yet?  ;D
Mike

NePaSmoKer

Yup the shiney stuff is on and its SMOKIN

Got the vent on and sealed'

Had to improvise some with an old turkey burner. The hose was too short so i had to prop the lower door open some.

Its starting to smoke  ;D

Really starting to smoke now.

My neighbor showing me and his wife where we need to seal yet. I have to install the sausage bar racks and a door seal. Also need to get a new burner and longer hose/regulator. I am leaning towards hard piping it from the tank. I have 2 75 gal LPG tanks in the garage i am going to use.

Great job Rick. On mine I drilled a hole in the side and ran the hose into the smoker, that way the tank/regulator stay outside without keeping the door cracked. Also do not worry about sealing up every tiny crack, it needs to vent anyway. If you seen some of the old smokehouses around here you would never think the sausage could get any smoke because there are so many gaps between the wood, but they work great. A lot of the older one I seen were made out of old pallets, they put boards in between the gaps but there are places where you can see right into the smoker. Lookin good.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

I'm really ready to get some sausage hanging.

I got the stix in and am putting some smoke to the smokehouse now.
