I'm not sure who posted this originally (I think it was HR) but I had one package left so I thought I would give it a try.

The Ingredients:

The Recipe:

Smoked Salmon Fish Dip

8oz smoked salmon
8oz cream cheese
8oz sour cream

I mixed the cream cheese and sour cream together first, then added:

1tsp garlic powder
1tsp onion powder
a couple of dashes of hot sauce (Mine is a Bunch of Dashes)
a splash of lemon juice. (1 and 1/2 cap fulls)
a generous sprinkle of cayenne pepper. (Really generous)

into the fridge to meld for a day or so.

Heading to the fridge:

I will let you know what it tastes like tomorrow.

Hi 10.5,

I made something similar about a year ago.  The salmon fillets were grilled/smoked on a cedar board and I used the left overs.  What are the apples for?  Or, are they really GIANT habs?

Where there's smoke, there's food.

The apples are to keep the doctor away!!! They are just sitting on the counter, not part of the recipe, for when the Yardapes get hungry. I got strange kids they would rather have a piece of fruit or a couple pieces of string cheese for a snack than junk food. We must have done something right when at the grocery store while they was little. We used to go and buy string cheese for them to snack on while finishing up the shopping, so they never wanted the candy stuff when we went through the checkout.

Good going with the kids 10.5!  When my kids were little and we told them we didn't have much money for Christmas presents, they said "Just go to that drive-up at the bank where they give you money.  Well, kids are kids, but now they're in their 30's and still believe it!  I think our educational system is failing us.  Work?

Did you grind them to sawdust first or just down to chips?

ArnieM

I threw the salmon away and just ground up the boards.  Great fiber!

You must have done some thing right and I have missed on doing the same. Wish my kids were as strange as yours 10.5

I am not as "think" as you "drunk" I am.

Slice those apples up (Granny Smith's are better), place some of the salmon spread on the apples and enjoy. I have a recipe on the recipe site for trout or salmon, and when I served it the sliced apples when much faster then crackers, celery sticks and slices of cheese.
