I'm thinking about buying some of the 8 prong bacon hanging racks. What do you think? Have you used them in your bradley smoker?

A friend is borrowing mine right now, and I cannot look at it to see how I would put a rod accross to make this work. Or could I just hang them on the top shelf? I have 5 large 15" x 10" slabs to smoke. (They are curing in the fridge right now).

I have seen those hangers in use here.

Here is a thread were they were used http://forum.bradleysmoker.com/index.php?topic=5477.0

For what it's worth, I just cut my belly into shapes that will fit on the racks.

By inverting one rack over another, I can get 8 racks of belly in my four rack OBS.

Rose, where I come from we have a saying; You never ever let some one borrow your woman or your car. I have recently added one more item to that short list; MT BRADLEY SMOKER.

Here's a pictorial I made to give folks a basic guideline as how I make bacon.

We lent it to some very good friends. No worries there, they borrowed it last year too.

Thanks for the link to make bacon. We already have instructions that we use, I just was wondering about hanging instead of laying it flat and if it changes it in any way.

No expert on bacon here, but I have the hangers but do not use them any more. Just cook with a little bit of fatcap on the top and remove after the cook and it will be fine.
