Question from a newbie (Re temp settings on DBS compared to the OBS)

here go's my next endeavor
Bacon Chicken Wrap With Pepper

Question i have is, what is the temp setting for this recipe using a digital smoker?
any help would be appreciated

here is the heat settings from the original recipe.
preheated the smoker for one hour at the maximum heat setting.
When I placed the food into the smoker, I left the slider to the highest setting
for 45 minutes or so. After that, I reduced it to 3/4. *Two hours and 30 minutes

I have the digital smoker and 250 is what I cook all poultry. You want to get the meat over the danger zone as fast as possable with out dryin it out.

Maybe someone with the OBS will come along with the temp of the smoker with the slider at 3/4

Smoke some,

I am with all the other guys at 250 also.

But be warned and don't be alarmed.  I smoked 3 butterflied chickens the other day to 161 in the breast.  Each chicken had its own rack.  The Bradley was preheated to around 280.   After that, 250 never showed up on my digital Bradley gauge even though it was my set temperature, nor did it register on the Maverick chamber probe.  The element and the smoker just stayed active the entire smoke; five hours.

That's OK and not unusual in my experience.

Good luck and slow smoking,
