Hey Squirt --- you taking the hoopty?  (we'll need a big cooler to bring those pork bellies home).
I was thinking about driving the go-kart down, but I can take the bus if need be...

That's a bit farther than I trust the old hoopty, so we are taking the Black Bobsled..

There is room in the trunk for a couple OS coolers.  (and I have some insulated 'cold bags' that will keep stuff frozen for hours)   We'll be in good shape.

How big is a pork belly anyway??

Depending on the pig, they can go 10 pounds.  Think of a slab about 2 inches thick, 18 inches or so long and 12 inches or so wide.

Do you guys have regular names for your cars?  Hoopty, go-kart, black bobsled, bus.  Is that code that us folks that live a little further South are supposed to decipher?  Ya'll aren't Navaho code talkers are you?

Wait till we get there...

If you're referring to Big Red, she won't see the light of day around that crowd! 8)

Mine are mostly in the 24-30 inch long range when I buy them by the case then I cut them down into thirds for curing. Guys think more like three gallon ziploc bags side by side for reference.
Bacon is the Crack Cocaine of the Food World.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

Cool, thanks.  Just deciding on what cooler to pack.

You gotta get down here first.  Plus, you gonna trot down to Cohen's every 10 minutes for a beer? :D

Heck no!  Who do you think we are?  Commoners?
We're hiring beer girls to follow us around!

I'd rather follow the girls....better scenery.

If this post is out of line, I'm sorry, I was drinking tonight.

Which team?  Larry, Darrell, and Darrell?  ;)

Sorry, had to choose that one.

KyNola

We're just gonna cook 3-4 chickens for the team.  However if they're really good, we may be cooking chickens on Saturday, THE judging day! :o  S&@t!
