i know, silly question for this forum, but....

i have a quarter chicken at home.  was in the freezer.  last night my wife put it in the fridge so i can't be sure right now that it's thawed out.

anyhow i go home for lunch around 2:30 and really have to be back as close to 3 as possible, so it doesn't give me much time.  we like to eat at 8 or shortly after, so do you suggest i try like mad to get it in the smoker by 3, or just grill that baby tonight, and save up my energy for sunday and do something, bery good?

EDIT:
i know 3ish to 8 sounds like a long time for chicken, but was considering cooking at around 220.

Personally, I would save the smoke for when I am home to smell it. ;D

That's half the fun of smoking .... walking around smelling that awesome smoke.

Agreed here too - on the grill.  BTW, what quarter of chicken?

Where there's smoke, there's food.

Grill that bird and whip up some big bob gibson white bbq sauce for it.

Trust me, its a winner.
Is it bad if my wife refers to the smoker as "The Mistress"?
