Didn't want to do a test run on the primo or the Bradley with my last pack of Razor clams so I opted with the Tested and proven method.

Sometimes you'll have that and you just go with what you know.
Bacon is the Crack Cocaine of the Food World.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

Wow, that looks tasty - I've never had the opportunity to have a razor clam.  Now I have to really try to find some.

I've never met a clam I've not liked - however some have made me look twice - can we say gooeyducks (sp)!   ;D ;D

Hey Caneyscud,
Here's apicture of the razor clams before cleaning, These were caught a year ago at Ocean Shores Washington. Them Gooeyducks are a rare find, you gotta be a serious clammer to catch one of them.

Thanks for the peek Keymaster.  We - my wife and daughter and I were up in Sequim, Washington 5 years ago for a festival my wife wanted to go to.  One of the best things were the fresh Golden Ranier Cherries from the stands beside the road.  Went looking to buy some razor clams, but couldn't find any to buy.  Had to settle for some of the best oysters I have ever put in my mouth.  We started talking to this one lady who was manning a booth and razor clams came up and where to find some.  Turns out she and her husband own an oyster farming outfit.  She had us over and served us five types of pacific oysters.  Some kind she called blue something.  Wow - sweet and firm and just oozing all that great taste of the briny deep!

Awesome, Sequim is like the edge of the world, your so lucky to have been able to visit it!! Even luckier to meet the owners of a Oyster farm!! Your right about them Cherries, i can spit a seed a good 20 feet and pizz the neighbors dog off  ;D You definately described the flavor to a T "sweet and firm and just oozing all that great taste of the briny deep!" You have helped me remember why Washington Taxes are so high but worth it.

Caney,  I love oysters, maybe a tad bit more than bacon.  In my opinion, the best place on earth for oysters is the Seattle - Tacoma area.  Those folks know their oysters, and boy are they good.  Nothing like being handed a menu of "Today's Selections" and having to choose from 19 different varieties (some named by the specific bed from which they were harvested).  Talk about overload.  Okay let's keep it simple, I'll take a sampler of two each.

If you want Goeducks, you have to be willing to get down and dirty, real dirty like face down in the mud.
