I wuz thinking about all the fun we had in Nawlins today...
Walked around the block (where I'm currently doing some work downtown)..
There's a little specialty pub I walked by.

One of the neon signs in the window:  "ABITA BEER"
Awrighten.

Whoa! An Abita magnet in your neck of the woods? Love it.

Mrs RB has me on restriction. She said I had too much fun in Nawlins?? I don't remember having too much fun? Did I have too much fun? I thought I was on my best behavior, well except for the crazed les...ans story hugging up to Mrs RB at the Famous Door. Maybe it was her that had too much fun!! I'm sticking wit dat!

Our next stop is Red River NM for the "Blues and Brews Festival." Maybe I can have too much fun there.....

Oh wait. I have one more comp on May 21st, then it's "Blues and Brews."

I owe you guys a PM

HUH??
Last thing I remember...
I wuz telling you my idea about how we could pull in 7 figures a year, mostly just sitting on barstools in the Quarter and slurping up Abita and gumbo...
And you said, "I gotta go!  You're gonna CORRUPT me!"

If that ain't good behavior, then... whuuuuuuut is?

Now, don't y'all ask about that plan --- (some corrupt goofball might actually TRY it).
Awrighten.

What's the difference - you ain't got a kitchen anyway.

Dinner tonight at Bon Ton Café - awesome turtle soup and even better crawfish dinner (Étouffée, Jambalaya, Louie, and omelet).  Gawd I love this town!

Careful Ka Honu. The airline is going to charge you extra to fly home if you don't cut back ::)

I can't wait to here the story about when they scan your carry on baggage..........

I've become a legend in my own mind.

We're all about "motos" and "gunpodwer" (not to mention, "shimp").

Just showed the missus the Jazz Festival page and she really wants to go next year ;D so you may have a couple of Canadians join in on the fun. The line up of performers at the Festival is very impressive. I think we would come down for one weekend of the festival and tack a few days on. And yes she knows that there would be a meeting of members from here. All I have to do is figure out how to get a mess of frozen Lox across the border and down to there. :D Now to start the research on were to stay, flights down from Vancouver, Bellingham or Seattle. I love planning stuff like this, gives me something to do at work ::)

Practice makes perfect.

Terrific lunch at Bayona today followed (after Marcia Ball at Wednesday in the Park) by Mae's Gumbo and fried oysters at Mother's (love them bivalves).  Still have to get to Drago's and Cochon but think I'll get it all done by Monday night.

OBTW, one of the Zatarain's demos at the Fest on Friday is "Barbecue Wild Hog" by the guys from the TV show, Swamp People. Gonna have to check that out.

Ka Honu

Okay, it's over.  I (barely) made it through the last day of JazzFest yesterday and spent today in more relaxing pursuits.  Breakfast (eggs, grits, debris, and biscuit) at Mother's followed by a late lunch at Cochon (gumbo, boudin balls, head cheese, and cochon with smothered cabbage).  No one should be allowed to make food that good.  Then spent a (moderately profitable) afternoon/evening in the casino, had a last cup of Mother's gumbo, made my hotel reservations for next year, and now home to pack.  How the hell am I gonna carry all that andouille plus the stuff the Krewe spread around?

What a great time - we gotta try to do the Krewe thing again next year.  Aloha all - more when I get home.
