WOW, everyone's getting thrown under the bus now.... You might as well blame it on FLBR. After all he is the one that put those gloves on your hands....

Not looking good. >:( We have put two calls in with the Lowes Corp headquarters and one visit to the local Lowes where we bought the MB and are not having too much luck.... Going on week two with no smoke. >:( :-\ :'(

Couple of things:
1) did you register the unit with MB when you bought it? Maybe you can ask them to look that up.
2) Did you pay by Credit Card? If so see if your credit card comapny can get you the statement for that period. It may have some info that will help the search.
3) See if the name tag has a mfg date. It it was close to when you bought it, maybe you can sweet talk MB to use that as "proof" that you bought it when you said you did.
4) Last but not least - trying crying and give the kid on the way plea.

Gus, I dont believe I registered the smoker. We are waiting on the CC company to send the statement and I will look at the mfg tag and see what date is on it. Thanks for the advice! I will put another call into them.

Just to give ya'll an update....

I got the recite emailed from Lowe's on Wed. and I forward the email to my MB rep. Then on Thursday I had to cut the power cord and remove the manufacturer's plate and send that into MB. My rep said once they received everything they would release a new smoker out to me.

This is really a sigh of relief for me as a lot of you know how much I love to smoke and am not really in a position to buy a new smoker at this time. Thanks everyone for your advice and looking out for me.
