Came home to a pile.

Obviously, the one in the middle was the center of attention, as it was 98° this afternoon.  :o

SRF Wagyu goodies!

2 sirloins, some franks, 2 pounds of hamburger patties and 2 tri-tips..

WHAT?

Yep.  Wagyu tri-tips..

Things were thawing quickly in the heat, so I rushed them into the freezer for now.

I'll break out the tri-tips and bust them apart.  One will go on the smoker Saturday evening...     I'm excited!

Oh yeah, and a whole bunch of really nice cold packs.   Most were still frozen solid from the shipment out of Spokane, WA Monday morning.

Box 2 came from MAK Headquarters..

It's a new drip pan.

Yeah, boring.

Oh, it is also a 'flame zone' pan that allows direct heat from the firepot to shoot up towards whatever you are cooking.

Those inserts come out, so you can get down inside and clean ash/whatever out without having to tear the whole smoker apart. (well, 75% still has to come out)

This is obviously a test unit, as you can see the welds and blemishes.   But I'm still stoked on finally having one to try!

The top box was some Weston quart sized vacuum sealer bags from Amazon.com.   BLSH posted about them last year, so I finally picked up some to try out.    Good price and they seem to be nice and heavy.   Will find out shortly as I have 5 pounds of shredded chicken in the fridge to deal with, and a couple pounds of garden fresh green beans.

I love boxes!  (and UPS hates me)

Gotta love when Christmas comes in August! Always fun to get packages in the mail.  My favorite is when I order  bunch of stuff at the same time and then I forget what I ordered.  Makes it a true surprise when there's a package at the front door. ;D ;D ;D

Can't wait to see (TASTE-HINT-HINT) those tri-tips!

Interestingly, I got the same identical box from SRF today!  Two of those wagyu beef hamburger patties got sacrificed to the dinner gods tonight.  OMG!

That new proto drip tray you received from MAK today really got my attention.  Have a couple of questions about it but I won't clog the forum with them.

I love getting boxes.  Have a case of Jambalaya mix on the way up from Prairieville LA.  It's getting close to Fall. Time for Jambalaya, Gumbo, Red Beans & Rice and all kinds of Fall goodies.

Sweet!

Christmas in August.

The USPS, UPS or FedEx wont deliver unless were home,,,,,,,Something to do with two Boxers running the place.  ::)

Got a package at each one of those places.  >:(

Cool boxes!  I almost did the SNR deal and now am wishing I had.   :(

I cooked a Tri-Tip the other day and it was good,

but not as good as what I remember eating at the MWSO.

I can think of several reasons why:

1. The cook. STC is an awesome cook.

2. The meat. Bought a Choice, but did change up the seasoning from what was used at MWSO.

3. The atmosphere. The MWSO was awesome and it is kinda boring around here.

Here! Hold my Beer!

You could definitely save a fortune on shipping..   UPS 2nd day air costs almost as much as the meat!

You're right!  Boise is quite a bit south of here but my friend lives there and Fed Ex Ground arrives here overnight from Boise.
Hum...might have to figure something out there  ;)

Almost?  I've paid MORE for the shipping than the meat before.
