Soccer and Smoking

OK, so maybe this will be a mostly soccer thread, but I figured there were enough soccer-based digressions on some of the other topics to warrant creating a topic here. I do smoke stuff (food) and eat smoked food often while watching soccer, so there's the connection to smoking . . .

Good idea John.

Yes, Jack my son was highly delighted with the Liverpool score just as all City supporters and most non-United supporters will be pleased to see Man C thrash Man U 3-1.

I think for the sake of the majority on the forum best stick to soccer and smoking, seem to be quite a few American Football fans here too![:D]

You think you had a tough (American) football time, Boxer? My two favorite teams are the Pats and Redskins . . . yesterday was the Saturday Playoff Massacre as far as I was concerned. [xx(]

Luckily, all my favorite EPL teams won . . .[:D]. Only result I didn't like was Chelski beating Sunderland . . . oh well.

I know what you mean, Mani--I watched the match on video a second time with my daughter and I was still nervous they wouldn't hang on for the win. Cheered again when they did [:D]!

The other match worth watching more than once was the Arsenal-Boro match. Not from a competitive standpoint, but the quality of soccer played by the Gunners was gorgeous . . .
