Smoked Cabbage

Ingredients I used for this one

Whole Cabbage (stick with a smaller cabbage 3 pounds or less)
¾  pound bacon
1 cup Chicken Broth
med onion
2 clove garlic
¼  cup butter
Salt pepper to taste
Cook time 5 to 7hrs

Cabbage cored out (used a knife and spoon)

Fried the bacon then sautéed the onions and garlic
Mixed all together

Poured melted butter in cabbage
Then I stuffed the cabbage with bacon onion garlic mix (packed in tight)

Little more maple cured bacon on top and in to smoker

Bradley was set at 280* topped out between 245 to 265
After 2hrs of apple smoke

Time to wrap in tin foil and add chicken broth

Back into smoker

After another 5 hrs it was done (checked with skewer. Should feel very little resistance
When probed)

Time for supper.

I pour the broth in the bottom of the tin foil so the cabbage can steam in it.

Just gotta figure a way to harness all the natural gas that will be generated from eating that baby and you can label it "Eco Food", patent it and make a fortune.

Thanks for reposting this. I had meant to add it to the recipe sites. I loved it the last time I made it, but I believe you changed a few ingredients. If so, how does it compare with the original recipe? Topping with the bacon is a nice added touch.

Hello  Habanero Smoker

The ingredients are the same on the bacon stuffed cabbage (maybe a little more bacon)
also did a corned beef stuffed cabbage.

This recipe is very versatile

the ingredients you can use are Unlimited for the stuffing,
sausage, peppers, cheese, corn beef
Italian dressing, just to name a few.
Same as the liquid for steaming, V8 juice, chicken broth, water, or what ever
you desire.

Here is the link to the first post for smoked cabbage.

Thanks for the link, it will help when I move this recipe to the recipe site. It looks like I made some changes when I made mine.
