BOSTON BUTT HELP BDS DIED DURING NIGHT

PUT A 8LB BOSTON BUTT IN AT 8 LAST NIGHT 3AM GOT UP TO CHECK IT WAS AT 150 DEG CHECKED AGAIN AT 7AM AND BDS WAS DOWN TO 119 DEG BOX TEMP AND MEAT WAS 115. SO I FIRED UP THE OVEN IN HOUSE AND PUT IT IN THERE AT 225 DEG . IS IT SAVABLE OR SHOULD I JUST CHUCK IT.   THEN I NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT CRAPPED OUT ON ME . I CHECKED FUSE THAT WAS GOOD AND IT SEEMED LIKE THE BURNER FOR THE WOOD WAS STILL GOING. NOT SURE ON THE BOX HEATER .  ANY HELP

the meat was up to 150 degree per digital thermometer is that out of danger zone

yea your right told my wife just to turn oven off 15 bucks and worth getting sick over

This may be a silly question but was your oven timer expired?

good point. Don't they only run about 9 1/2 hrs without having to be reset?

No I went out at 10 and upped it to 9 hours both smoker and element

Element did die finally put new one in and back in operation. Only problem now is my brother took it to smoke salmon they caught up by oswego NY. WE will see when I get it back.
