There have been threads here for smoked oysters that have me drooling. My question is will they keep even for a few days in the fridge?I found some Fanny Bay live ones at a price I can live with but there's only me eating.

Ask the fish monger what is the use by date and the proper way to store them until you can eat or cook them. That person should know the harvest date, and the use by date. If he doesn't or will not give you that information, go elsewhere.

These are live in the shell so they should be fresh. The internet suggests 2-3 days in the fridge and also mentions 3 months in the freezer.Has anyone frozen them? How did they keep?
Thanks

It is a matter of how fresh, that is why the harvest date is important, and how much longer you can store them. I have smoke/cooked mussels, packed them in oil and frozen them. I've had them frozen for as long as 4 months, with no noticeable change in taste or texture.
