I ordered my unit from Chez Bubba as an early birthday and retirement gift from my wife.  Everything I read concerning Kirk and Ann were right on.  Excellent folks to deal with.  I have never truely smoked before, but while mowing the lawn today, I stuck some chicken strips and legs in the smoker with Apple Wood (seasoned the BS last week) and it turned out perfect.  I can not believe how easy it is to use and clean up afterward.  I think I'm hooked.

I do have a question - The instruction book said not to use foil, yet the video tape shows a clip of smoking meat loaf and recommends utilizing foil.  Any input out there?  I am surprised that Bradley is putting out conflicting information on this.

Thanks for the input bubbagump.  It appears to me that if I use just enough foil to simply give a base to place the meat loaf on (say on one of the top 2 racks) there should not be a problem.  I could simply get a piece of steel screen to place it on (like window screen).  I have been thinking of utilizing screen to smoke and roast nuts on anyway.

Welcome to the Wide, Wide World of Bradley. My best suggestion is to read the forum & trust more the information gleaned here than the information that comes with your smoker.

I trusted this forum when I decided to order from you and that turned out great.  I will do likewise in other matters as well, especially in the smoking process.  That is why I joined the forum and made the inquires that I have so far.  It is nice to know that there are still some honest businesses that simply want to make a reasonable profit, be a good neighbor, sincerely care about their clients, and make a difference in the lives of the people they touch like you and Anne do.  It also appears that this forum is like a brotherhood (sisterhood) similar to the RVing community.  I have found that the RVing community is simply an extended family almost anywhere you go.

Welcome to the forum Wildcat. You might look into the jerky racks that Chez sells on the accessories page (Jerky 4 Rack Set  Stock #: BTJERKYRACK "These racks have a 1/2 inch spacing and are non-stick coated for easy food removal and cleanup")  They would probably hold your meatloaf (leave it alone Kirk) without the need for foil.

I do meatloaf 2 pounders each .I do the aint your moms meat loaf deal and the loaf is fine on the rack that came with the bs.Nothing squeezes thru.No foil needed i tested it both ways no problems with a mess.Ya gota try that meat loaf recipie its to die for .A real crowd pleaser  ;D.

Thanks for the pointers.  I purchased the Jerky racks along with the BS.  What is this "Aint your moms meat loaf"?  Seems like I saw that somewhere else in these forums.  Until the end of this month I still work for a living so I do not have much time to devote towards reading everything yet.

It's a recipe out of Smoke & Spice. It's a smoked meatloaf and is excellent!!! The recipe is on here some where but I don't have time just yet to find it for you. Rat knows where it's at. He might be able to find it before I do.
