Has anyone tried using, say, apple juice [any any other juice] in the water bowl instead of water?? Results? ;D

I have not.  I doubt it would accomplish much if anything since it is located below the heat sources and is only there to extinguish the pucks.  I would recommend that if you want to apply apple juice moisture, that you put some in a spray bottle and simply spray your food whenever you happen to open the door.  Of course the more the door is opened the longer it takes to cook.  Also you can apply apple spray liberally when you FTC.

There have been several posts from members doing this, but I don't recall any member posting their results. It couldn't hurt to try. The liquid in the pan does evaporate, but I'm not sure how much of that flavor will be infused into the meat. I often thought of throwing some herbs or tea into the bowl when I smoke fish. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
