I've only been here a short while but my vote goes out to Habs, Ice and Wildcat.  All are extremely knowledgeable and their willingness to help and spread their own knowledge is second to none.  (Plus Iceman makes a mean sauce :) )

If you guys are considering it but are worried about lack of knowledge its usually basic point/click type deals.  If you can manage posting messages you'd essentially be able to moderate.  You just get a few extra buttons.

Mike - I do not know anything about your computer skills and time available, but I have been very impressed with your knowledge and willingness to help others.  You certainly have come through for me.  How about it?

As far as computer skills go I do maintain our office network and website on my own. I am no expert by any means but I do know my around and would be willing to learn. Because I own my own business I am able to be on the site a fair bit during the day and I certianly would be willing to help out everywhere I can. Being a moderator and working with Bradley's system people would not be a problem as I do this on a regular basis with various insurance companies.

I feel this site, along with Olds recipe site is a huge asset for all the members both current and future. I just feel there should be more than one in order to balance things better.

I sure couldn't argue with that! There are several others on here that I feel would do a great job and know pretty much everything about smoking with a Bradley. I just don't know who has the time, computer skills, or desire for the job. I do agree that those who would like to be a moderator should post their names...

Guys - thanks for the kind words, but I am not really that knowledgeable.  I can operate a computer, but my experience is somewhat limited and I am not sure of the skills required to do this type of job.  The last thing I want is to screw this forum up.  I love it too much.  I think Mike would be great.  Since I am retired I do have the time, and would be willing to do what I can, but I think everyone would be better off with someone that has better computer skills.

Hab, you dont have to look as every posting everyday... the members will do that and when something needs correction they will E-mail you. This is a team effort. You will not be out there alone.

I would like you to re-think this, as I know you can do this correctly. I have no fear, or doubt about you.

If you do this, and willing to help guide me, I am willing to give this a go as well.  I do not really know what all this will involve, but if I can get some guidance on anything I am not sure of, I will give it my best shot.  I generally learn fairly fast.  Shoot, if I can guide beginning lawyers and train cops in search and seizure, then I should be able to figure this out.

I'm certainly willing to help out where ever I can. I, by no means, have any experience at being a forum moderator but I do have computer experience and I'm usually kickin' around the forum a fair bit. I would love to see Habs as a Moderator here as well. His sheer and vast knowledge has earned the title, as LQ put it... Iron Habs! He really would be a great fit.
