Who did you get them from?
Oak is good but I hope you didn't pay extra for the Beam.

For you bourbon barrel fans, here's some trivia for you.  The Maker's Mark barrels are used only once.  Then they are sold and shipped to Scotland where Scotch whiskey is stored in them.  So if you drink Scotch you are getting a bit of good Kentucky Bourbon in every sip.

Us folks from KY know worthless things like that. ;)  There is a barrel of Maker's Mark in Loretto KY with a little copper panel on it that bears my name.  Comes from being an "official" Maker's Mark ambassador.  You should really sign up to be one as it costs nothing and every so often they send you some neat little gift.  They don't however send you bottles of bourbon. >:( :D You can sign up on their website.

We had to ship this particular order directly from Bradley because we sold out of our stock very quickly. We now have more in stock.

La Quinta

I am really interested to hear if the infusion of the bourbon/whiskey in the wood makes a difference in flavor of the end product.

I use JD pellets in my Traeger and you can taste the hint of the JD in the meat. I would think its the same in the BS. But then again after i drink half the bottle it all tastes like JD  :D  :D  :D

I have some of these on order. I am going to smoke one of my standard recipes, probably a pork butt, and see. I usually use Hickory for that, so maybe not. I think I will smoke a chicken with the JB bisquettes first.

Unfortunately, due to Bradley's contract with Crown Royal they cannot sell them in the US. Not sure why but we cannot get them. Sorry, I will keep trying.
