I could use the digital controls on the OBS but would need to plug the box heater in separately and use it with the slider control (or the PID I just bought).

I always thought that PA had imagination.  They actually have a town called Inter-course (my hyphen to get past the censors).  And I swear by all things holy, that right after the town of Inter-course, there is a town called Climax.  I wish I could have been around when they were naming these towns  ;D

I got an offset smoker in '97.  I got tired of keeping the fire going--not too hot, not too cold--no easy task for me.  So in '04 I convinced a neighbor he needed it, and picked up my OBS.  Happy ever since.  The house I moved into soon after didn't have very good electricity, and it seemed temps were slow to rise.  But now I'm in a newer house and the volt meter says 125 volts most of the time, and the OBS seems to really like it.
