For all of those in Rio Linda that means you're "innocent until proven guilty" and may no PICS be used against you in a court of law!

I do hear by deem all PICS posted here to be enhanced, Photoshopped or otherwise altered and therefore ineligible for use in a court of law!

My Girls will be spending their first of two nights outside. This is the first time in 7 years that the little girl has EVER been outside overnight. They have been kissed and hugged and covered with a blue tarp for the night.

I got the 10x20 canopy set up ready for the square picnic tables to be put under it.

I dug around and found some Christmas lights to put inside just in case a little light might be needed under the canopy. Even had a test run after supper.

Finish mowing the grass and getting some odds and ends together in the morning and wait for folks to start arriving.

I've got one of those 10x20's myself, trust me it does not take that much wind for that thing to go Wright Bros on ya . Hang some of those cinder blocks!

Well I am probably the only one of the group that is awake at this hour of the morning. Somebody has to do the cooking!! Thought I would post what pictures Miss Rachel was able to take before she reminded me that I had forgotten to clean off the memory card in my camera. Don't worry Pat took a whole bunch more.

Friday Morning I got a knock on my door, about fell over.  Come to find out that Miss Chrystal had a change of heart and was tired of Rick (Nepas) whining. So she told him he could come to the Smoke Out and there he was standing on my front porch!! Friday afternoon and evening was just kind of a social gathering to unwind from the rigors of sitting behind the wheel or in the passenger seat. We got the Briskets going in the smokers. Pat fired up the MAK to cook some brats and hotdogs to munch on. After Showing Larry (Kynola) how easy it was to trim St Louis style ribs from Spare ribs. We did a hot and fast cook on the trimmings and snacked on them as well. Here's what I have for pictures.

We munched on some brats NePas brought and those rib trimmings were gooooooooooooooooooood.

I didnt think the trimmings were hot at all,,,I'll let Chris tell that story.

For some reason I am wore out. I think I remembered to take a couple pictures today. Making sure there was enough food was my priority. There is only ONE RULE when you come to our house to eat!!

Lance, that wasn't on the way home.  They did all of that on Saturday morning before the Smokeout!  They also went to a local meat locker while Chris, Pat and I were busy slaving away, mostly Chris and Pat ;D.

This is some pics of Our (CRG, OU812, Nepas, and hal4uk) saturday morn road trip.

Like it was said we made it up to Chris's Locker Plant that he use's (Edgewood) but

got no pics as I lost intrest real quick when I found out they had no pork bellies. On

the way back we stopped at the "Field of Dreams" movie site. "Field of Dreams" is one

of my favorite movies so it was a fun place for me to stop. Here's some standard pics.

After you guys left, we were standing around talking and the kids were

playing in the sand box. They had molds they packed with sand and were

trying to line them up around the edge of the sand box. Roxie would sit

there and wait for them to finish one and she would run up and bite it in half.

She would get a mouth full of sand but it made her no never mind. She would

do it every time.

Tasha looks just like JD after every thing was un loaded from my turck, JD was at my side the whole time from the min I got home.

Ahem, well...... :-[..I have not worked with her since we got back.  It has been HECTIC since we got home, and I have not had a chance to walk her.
HOWEVER, when I do get her out for a walk, I will definitely do what you advised me to do.  It will be nice to enjoy walks again, without feeling like a constant tug of war/war of wills.
JD is a beauty!  I just love the brindle coloring!  Boxers have that FACE, too - so sweet.  :)

was tiny wearing somekind of urben camo? sure did a good job of hiding......  ;D
since i was not able to get there, this year, to meet everyone in person, its great to see the pics and be able to connect a face with a name.

Well it's a good thing at least I'm halffast or I may never get any thing posted from the best time of Karen and my life, what a BLAST. Have to start by thanking Chris and his whole family for letting us invade them for the weekend, what great host they were, then Shawn and Lance for giving up some of their weekend to be with us and thanks for the freebies, very nice, then to all those folks that drove from far away to be there glad you meds it there and home safely, and then to the rest of you that drove maybe not so far but still it's a drive, also very glad you all made it there and homesafely, not to name any names because surely I would forget someone and that would be good, so to the special ladies in the kitchen that I never seen make it outside you were so busy, thnaks for seeting things up and seeing that we all got fed, to everyone that cooked and furnished the great meat thank you and to everyone for bringing all the goodies we got to eat. Sorry if I forgot to thank some one for something. Now to all folks that didn't get to make this smokeout you have to get to one, if there's not one in your area be trend setter and organize one, I promise you will never regret it, it was our first one, and as I told Chris, we wished there was one every weekend, Sonny's idea would work also of every other weekend !!!From the time we walked around the corner of Chris's home we felt like we knew these folks all our lives, kinda like a family reunion with out the relatives you don't like anyways, Jeremy I hope you have nightmares and feel really bad for stealing your Bradley from that store !!! ;D, you find any more deals like that PM me and I'll be right there. I could ramble all day about the fun and great times we had but instead I'll  end by saying to the folks I had gotten help and advice from on here it was very speacial to meet you all in person, to everyone thanks for a new friendship, Karen says to all the ladies she met Hi and it was great to meet you, she's still working on that new forum section for sausge widows or women that do all the clen up. Midwest smokeout III, Time and place, and if you need any help Chris you have my number. Let's all try and make it back again and I hope the numbers doulble or triple. Take care everyone and it's been real fun talking in the forum since last Saturday.

Just so many great pictures y'all...though we could not be there with you, the pictures that you shared with us help to show those that have never been to a smoke out just how much enjoyment  there is meeting the folks that you stay intune with every day here on the forum...the fun, camaraderie, friendships that are made here will remain with you for ther rest of your lives...
