Anyone have a Cabela's motorized stuffer and has a picture of the spline. I've asked before but can't find it LOL.

Thank
John

Here's a link to a post by Mike (Mr Walleye) of the Cabelas stuffer motor shaft.

Thanks HawkeyeSmokes, I could not find it must be time for a #5...

Yea, it has a real spline on the shaft and mine has a funny looking spline.

After stuffing the snack sticks the other day, I renewed my quest for a motor on my stuffer...

Thanks
John

Do you have an indexing head for your mill John?

Either that or use a rod and mill offset keys into them, make them just a little bigger. You might get some backlash, but we're talking sausage making.

Its all doable, just need the stuffer motor for sizes of the spline. I would imagine that the spline is a common size. If so, the part should be able to be bought off the shelf.

Ask Mike for the dimensions of the spline.

BJT you can buy parts here, maybe you could replace your shaft with a new one

The big problem is my spline is not standard but a star looking thing... no indexing head :( Maybe if I can find a shaft with std splines

Go down to the middle of the page they have the shaft your lookin for.

BigJohnT

I was looking at that and I'd have to take mine apart and see if they are close. It does say for the 20 & 30 pounders and mine is an 11 pound stuffer.

It was worth a shot, may be call them and see if they have one for the 11 lb

BigJohnT

You bet it is worth a shot, it's closer than I've ever been  ;D If that works then I have to find a Cabela's motor... they are out of stock with no back orders.

Thanks
John

I thought that the Cabelas was OEM'd from Weston. You might want to try them.
