Ok then get the welder out  ;D

JT

Will do, and the grinder, maybe even the chop saw. Need to measure the width of the blade, the table on the chop saw would be nice for indexing the teeth.

BigJohnT

I'd try and only put as much weld as needed to build up the tooth. Then dress it down till it works. You just need one more right?

More like one inch of teeth, guesin about 10.

Need the shaft to down about another 3/4" more.

BigJohnT

Oh, that will be a worse pia to do. If you do I'd do one tooth at time... if you had another shaft for a pitch gauge it would be easier to get them ground to near enough... and the second shaft would keep you from getting the teeth too near or far from the true pitch. I was going to say something about missing teeth but better not LOL.

Now do you see why I was askin for help from the PRO ?  ;D

BigJohnT

If you don't care if it gets messed up send it to me and I'll see what I can do with it  8)

OU812,

Is there any concern that the dual tubes might flow differently?

OU812,

Is there any concern that the dual tubes might flow differently?

JT

Nope

I have a dual tube on my jerky cannon and once both tubes are full they flow evenly.

BigJohnT

Ok, I was just wondering out loud...

OU812,

I need to know the OD of 19mm collagen casings to make sure the spacing between the tubes is correct. I only have 17mm here atm.

I can see it now the Doppelt Snack Stick Stuffer...

;D ;D ;D ;D

Does this help any?

The flange is 2 1/8" and the 1 7/8" is the size of the hole of the locking ring.

I'll measure it again when I get home.

I dont have anything to measure in metric though.

KevinG

It's hard to read some of your numbers but here's some conversions if you need them.

1/8" = 3.175 mm
1/4" = 6.35 mm
5/16" = 7.9375 mm
3/8" = 9.525 mm
1/2" = 12.7 mm
3/4" = 19.05 mm
7/16" = 11.1125 mm
1" = 25.4 mm
1 7/8" = 47.625 mm

Thanks Lump, I was woundrein what that word meant.

Thanks Kevin, That metric system is still greek to me.

John, got some better pictures.

This is the outside diameter of the casings.

This is the 1 7/8" I was talkin about.

Here is a better shot of the spline on the stuffer.

This is how much closer to the front the shafts are than the ones on your stuffer. I think this would be the hardest part to make the motor work.

Can you tell I found my camera?
