Finally my OBS got here today, I got it seasoned and can't wait to put it to work this weekend. What is the best thing to start with for someone wit no smoking experience? Or is it just best to jump in? I mainly plan on doing briskets, ribs, pork butts and hams. Let me know what you all think.

I'd go with a butt personally.  They don't require anything special except patience.  Have fun.

Pork butt is always a good choice for a first smoke. They're more forgiving than almost anything else.

Yep the Poke Butt would be my suggestion as well.
Bacon is the Crack Cocaine of the Food World.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

Yep, pork butt.  The other items on your "to do" list are not hard at all but require maybe a bit more experience than the first time out.

I would say a chicken.  ;D

More of a here and now kinda thing and as forgiving as a butt just keep track of the IT.

the only problem with a butt is, you'll be looking at an extremely long smoke for your first time out.  unless you get a very small butt i guess.

a chicken you'd have covered in around a 4 hour time frame.

If you go with a chicken (or other poultry), remember that unless you finish it at a higher heat (in TBE, oven, grill, or whatever), the skin will not be crispy like you may be used to.

I would have to say ABT's  ;D
Then you can eat those and drink a few cold one's while watching your butt smoke  ;) :D

Mine was ribs! I know they say its a little harder. But with the 3-2-1 approach it was pretty easy. Even after I made several mistakes. But it did teach me more about the Bradley and ribs came out good.
