Yeah...are you both ok? We have friends in Irvine out near Santiago Canyon who I'm worried about too. They're blowing it off...much to my dismay...If it get's close...get out...(I'm from Florida...same as a hurricane).

What we need is a good slow moving, low wind T. S. from California to Ga. and all points South.  Good Luck; it is better to "get - going" while you can!

I was wondering last night if any of my friends here were in danger from the fires.  Hope all of you and your families and friends stay safe.

Be careful out there folks.  The streets may get crowded and shelters limited.  If it is too close get out while you can.  We will be praying for all involved.
Life is short. Smile while you still have teeth.

One of my brothers is a CHP stationed in Moorpark / Thousand Oaks area. It is a frigging mess according to him. He lives in Camarillo and they plowed all the crops down around the houses to keep it safe. Nasty business going on down there to say the least. Prayers are out for all of you folks down there and I sure as heck am not complaining about the snow we have up here!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
May the fragrance of thin blue smoke always grace your backyard.

Many thanks to all of you.  I just called Gizmos cell and he and his house is fine as far as is known.

San Diego continues to "smoke" - about a quarter million people are evacuated from thier homes.  We are still ok with just a vol. evacuation in my area.  Huge amounts of smoke but can be coped with as long as house is shut up and you keep the blower on the furnace running for a little filtration.

Gizmo has been mandatory evacuated since Monday at 1:00.  His house is still ok but the house on his street toward the top of the hill is gone. Well actually it and a couple hundred others are falling from the sky and being blown out to the ocean now. He is currently checking out of a high dollar hotel room in downtown SD and will likely go to some friends home in Point Loma.

Our current situation is watching incredible amounts of ash fall like snow (and dirt flakes) and waiting for an evac order.

It is interesting situation with so many fires and such a large area effected.  We all have many options on where to go but many of the options are temporary because the situation with the fire changes so rapidly.

Continues to be an exciting time.
