this time i cannot stay quiet and must tell why  I havent been around for  few days.....

Next to my home in so cal the city is installing a sewage lift station just over the wall .. they drove 47 foot   long pieces of steel into the ground.. removed the dirt in the steel... cracks in the dirt appeared .. they  fixed.. they worked harder more cracks appeared .. more fillling... they pumped out ground water .. earth moved.. slab cracked..

ceiling and walls crack . slab and walls seperate..cracks gas line. he  red tags the  house..saying that the house is unsafe to enter due to slab is cracked walls and ceiling is cracked.. stucco is cracked...

I tell them to take there cracks and place them where the crack dont shine.. they put up another tag on the side of the house next to the sewage lift station... guess you all know you all know what this means.. the city is full of crap and i have the hole to prove it

anyway me and my  family are well and safe in  a hotel.. that the city  is paying for... just a huge pain in the rear...

WOW! I would have never known that was even possible! Any time estimate for repairs? That sounds like structural damage to the foundation. Glad you and family are ok, but what a pain. Wish you were closer, I would bring ribs!

That is horrid! Sorry to hear the news and I hope the city takes care of you. That has got to be tough on the family especially during the holidays.

On the lighter side, has the hotel complained about the smoke from your Bradley on the balcony yet?

Sorry to hear that.  I remember how big a pain in the arse it was to be out of the house when we had the fire in January.  My thoughts are with you and the family and I echo what WTS has said:  Don't let the bastages get away with anything!

Sorry to hear about the hassle beefmann, stay strong and let the family treat it as a vacation.  Not sure if pork, beef, fowl, lamb or fish is appropriate for this situation much less apple, hickory, cherry, etc....  Can't go wrong with comfort food in a tough situation!

thanks all .. for as long as I have   been a member this form has been my extended family... as for the hotel .. after my  first 8 rack of ribs that was shared and made the cheif jealious everything is cool.. most every one is here waiting for the next go round and the cook is handing  me the meat .. and more then 2 - 4 rack bradleys can handle...

told the hotel to  change there name to the smoking joint  inn... hehehe... and im in westminster currently and not knowing to far into the future

the city is paying the hotel bills currently and the food... hehehe funny thing is the hotel is not charging us a dime for  meals as long  as i  smoke the meats for them...

SS.. all the damage started sunday nov. 30 and the ground is still not stable.. we are going to be out of that home for a  while and maybe be getting a new residence out of it... just got to  wait and  see
