Here's where we can post pictures of "Your Gift". If you would like to ackknowledge who the sender was that is completely up to you. I think it would be a nice gesture though.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Whoopie! ;D I got my gift and can't wait to put some of it to use. I should really probably put it back in the box and put it under the (crummy, prelit artificial) tree. Well, maybe I'll just put the box under the tree ;D
We discussed voluntarily posting pics of the gifts. So here goes ...

Arnie is the first to get his gift!!
Thanks 10.5. My gift was from Free whoops, NePaS and was much appreciated. The KK Village sauce rocks. Very well balanced flavor and heat. It went on grilled chicken thighs tonight. Yum. My wife and I did the "Lick your finger and stick it in the bag" test for the home made seasoning. Her comment was "Wow! He should be selling this stuff!"
Activities such as the exchange and the ICB really makes this a great forum with great friends.
Enjoy your holiday all.
Has anyone Else received their gift yet?
Not yet. I keep running to the mailbox when I get home.. :D
My recipient should have theirs when they get home from work tonight.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL THE FORUM FAMILIES.
nepas
That is a "Sweet" gift!
NePas, You are very welcome.
Nebraska grown Honey from the middle of a corn field.
Picked up a couple more jugs a few weeks ago when we were out pheasant hunting, then I got your name, perfect.
I seen the ringneck magnet the day after I seen one of your fridges with all the grand kids magnets and thought you could use a grown up magnet.
I have been using the honey in place of the brown sugar in a few brines with great success.
Enjoy
Wow, This is awesome!
Awesome work OU812 and congrats Nepas

It's a good thing we have a year to think about next xmas. Everyone has done so good it will take that long to do any better.
There was a box waiting for me when I got home yesterday.
Inside was a South East Pennsylvania Winter survival kit:
I had to pick up the Hershey bar VERY carefully as it was in a near-liquid state. "Near Record heat" and Chocolate don't mix.
A trip to the refrigerator was in order.
I managed to save her! She's a little misshapen, but tastes great!

Those Crabs chips look very interesting indeed!
Thanks Bryan! (begolf25)
"Near record heat" Man thats too bad.
We hit a high of 15 F today.
Those crab chips look good from here.
Let us know about those chips... We might have to have Bryan include a bag in every Y&P order.
I could go for some "near record COLD" which would be 33F. Today it was 88.8F in my front yard.

I might take you up on that! I've seen UTZ chips before, but I can't remember where.. Definitely wasn't the crab variety.
I'll swap you for some local BBQ sauces/mustards.
I've had UTZ chips many times but do not remember seeing the crab chips. I'll have to look next time I'm shopping. All the gifts are great, good job everyone.
A conversation with my 15YO daughter:
Her: "Where'd you get the snacks?
Me: "Smoker forum gift exchange, These are from South East Pennsylvania"
She tastes the chips and then has a peanut butter kiss.
Her: "when do we leave for PA ?"

That should hold you over in case of a snow storm FLBR. ;D I'm sure the snow would melt in about 30 minutes.
Congrats on your present.
We buy UTZ chips all the time but I've also never seen the crab chips. Gotta check on them.
I got some chips a week or so ago. I'll look for the name if anyone is interested. The ingredients are "Potatoes, <oil>, sea salt". The <oil> flavor on the two bags I got was Olive and Avocado. Quite tasty and no junk in there.
Tater chips MMMMMMMMMMM
I miss em.

The chips the Seemores sent were the best chips I've ever had.
I told them that Idaho could learn something about potatoes from Iowa.

Bryan
Just realized we are probably talking about two different places, he will be at UMBC but probably still just as close maybe, in a different direction.
It's funny he has online friends in that area, he met one when we down there last month.

UMBC is in Catonsville, Maryland just outside of Baltimore. I love the Utz's Crab Chips but I WILL KILL for a bag of Utz's Vinegar and Salt Chips......they are a back of the throat grab ya and hang on ride!!! Andy Capp's Hot Fries are GREAT too!!!
I got my package from Mikeradio yesterday. I LOVE IT......it is something that I wish I had sent to my person.....Why yes it is that sick!!! It is a LARGE clay mosquito with a menacing and hungry look. The info card included reads "George The Mosquito. These almost lifesize creatures are the torment of Northern summer nights. Each mosquito is individually handcrafted at the Bancroft Studio in Prince George, B.C." If I find away I will post pictures. It is hanging from a hook about telephone high at my home office desk. Mike, I just realized that since yesterday the annoying calls have stopped......ALL HAIL GEORGE THE MOSQUITO!!! I showed it to my sister this morning and she said "Oh Lord, you mean that there is someone as sick as you are in this world? I said yeah, but he lives in Canada! She said that that was some relief!" ;D
Ray
Don't turn your back on George Ray. You just THINK it's clay. Wait 'til the weather warms up!
Ray, not sure if you have this link .
Try this link to get your pictures going.

Arnie.....you mean it's not clay but a cocoon and George is hibernating or worse yet....he's metamorphosing into something eviler!!!
CRG......The problem with loading pictures is that I do not have a digital camera or can not upload from my cell phone camera.
Mikeradio...does the person who made George have a web page?
Ray.....reduced to typing while keeping one eye on George...
ray if your cell phone has a memory card they make SD card that you can slide your cell phone memory card in and then slide in the sd slot of your puter.
I told you to watch out Ray. From Wiki -
Pterosaurs (pronounced /ˈtɛrəˌsɔr/, from the Greek πτερόσαυρος, pterosauros, meaning "winged lizard", often referred to as pterodactyls, from the Greek πτεροδάκτυλος, pterodaktulos, meaning "winged finger" /ˌtɛrəˈdæktɨl/) were flying reptiles of the clade or order Pterosauria. They existed from the late Triassic to the end of the Cretaceous Period (220 to 65.5 million years ago). Pterosaurs are the earliest vertebrates known to have evolved powered flight. Their wings were formed by a membrane of skin, muscle, and other tissues stretching from the legs to a dramatically lengthened fourth finger. Early species had long, fully-toothed jaws and long tails, while later forms had a highly reduced tail, and some lacked teeth. Many sported furry coats made up of hair-like filaments known as pycnofibres, which covered their bodies and parts of their wings. Pterosaurs spanned a wide range of adult sizes, from the very small Nemicolopterus to the largest known flying creatures of all time, including Quetzalcoatlus and Hatzegopteryx.[1][2][3]

From Kauffmans is a jar of Horseradish mustard.

Good story but not the same one the company that has always made them explains it. See history here (http://www.googoo.com/history.asp).
Thanks for letting me know, KH. My erroneous post has been removed.
KyNola
Glad you liked the package! Hope you get lots of mileage out of the items. Let me know what you think of all of the rubs and seasonings. And the hot BBQ should be great! Hope to see some pics!!

Sorry, Ky - I didn't mean to be a "content cop." I'm guessing the story started because the Opry has been one of Goo Goo's longest-running sponsors over the years.
No apology necessary KH. I'm sure you're right about how the Grand Old Opry theory was born.
KyNola
I enjoyed both stories and use to love Goo Goo's in my younger days.
Thanks to you both for a little piece of history.
When we got home from work tonight, a package was waiting for us at the door!

Thanks, Santa, AKA Smokeitall!!!!!!!
Guess we had better stock up on chicken, ribs, pork roasts,,,,,,,,,,
Can't wait to try the Carolina mustard sauce, as well as the others - all made in St Louis!
Is Bandana's a restaurant down there?
What a nice surprise! They all look delicious!
SIA, you are a great Santa!
Thats quite the variety of BBQ sauce you got there seemore, they all sound good. Nicely done Smokeitall.
Good Job SIA!!! Seemores your gonna love the Andies fish breading that stuff is awesome!!
You are more than welcome Seemore's I just wish the first gift I got for you made it. I did finally get a hold of the place and they had a medical emergency and were in the hospital for 2 weeks with the restaurant shut down. But anyways yes Bandana's is a local restaurant as well as Supersmokers. I sent the Baja Citrus because it is one of my favorites, I will post the recipe I use with that seasoning for an outstanding BBQ'd chicken strip dinner (the kids beg me to make it for dinner). The Carolina Mustard is great, I have a jar open right now. Glad all the glass ones made it un-damaged.
Hope you enjoy all of it, Merry Christmas.
SIA
SIA, I like Mc Cormicks marinades but have not tried the Baja Citrus. On your recommendation I will give it a shot.
OH YEAH! That's awesome... Bandana's is our 'go to' sauce for pulled pork/brisket sammies.
Seemore's, you will love them all!
Great gift! I'm with 10.5 on the Andy's fish breading. Get you some catfish filets and you're in for a fried treat!
KyNola
What a haul!
Great gifts guys :)
This has been so much fun I'm sure this is only the first year of this exchange.
Carolyn
Great looking stuff you got there seemores, thanks to Santa SIA :D
Hey everybody. A buddy brought me my mail today, and in it was a nice box from Pennsylvania. Pensrock had my name and, although I am unable at present to do pics, I am happy to tell what I received. First thing I found in the box was a nice toy to play with my kitties with, next up was a bag of pistachios (I would guess smoked, but have resisted the urge to taste them yet), a set of Bear Paws, A couple of nice customized plastic badges, and last, but certainly not least, a nice, heavy duty ABT cooker/holder. Also was a card.
Thank you very much Pens. Also, thank you to Tenpoint for pulling all of this together.
Your welcome Tim. The pistachios are smoked and I had to get something for the kitties. :)
I made the ABT stand at work, it also holds mooinkballs very well.
When they were posting on here about the Bear Paws, I thought, oh no cause I had already bought a set for part of my gift. I was hoping whoever I got to send a gift to did not pick some up during that discussion.
I hope the gift help lift your spirits some, have a great holiday.
Awesome, TT! How many kitties do you own?
SIA, I definitely want the recipe for the chicken strips to use with the Baja Citris marinade! Plus I think the next time we are in the St Louis area, we will have to try these restaurants,
Kynola, we happen to have some catfish filets in the freezer, so I guess I know what will be on the menu next week!
I agree with Caribou: this exchange has been a BLAST, and I can't wait until next year!!!!!
Mrs
Yes, Pens, it lifted my spirits to new levels. Spent yesterday and part of this morning feeling sorry for myself, but when I opened the gift, my frown turned upside down. thazn km hgoiu (Bela wrote that...said it says "Thank you Pens"),
Seemore...2 kitties, Bela is a White Calico and Sneetch is a dark Calico.
Cant wait to see the picts TT, gald to here your frown is back to the way its ment to be.
Sounds like Pens did a bangup job!! I think it would be safe to say the Bradley FAMILY Support System has helped another MEMBER!! It is going to be a Merry Christmas this year!! Come Hell or High Water

This has been better than anyone thought possible.
The Bradley Forum!
Quick question, what are the cheese curds for? Do you use them to make more cheese? I never seen a package like that before. BTW I loved seeing all the different great gifts!
Pen,
You eat the cheese curds like little cheesy bites.
Ray
Just got done going through all 13 pages....I am definitely in for next years! Great job everyone!
Pens curds are very squeaky.
try them some time they are very good
seemore
Pens,
The curds are what the cheese is before it is pressed into a round or a block. I have never had them but I imagine they are mild since they wouldn't be aged either.
Deb
Curds are the best when we get them right at the cheese factory when they are being made. They do actually "squeek" when you chew them. The fresher they are the more the squeek.
Being from and in Wisconsin, I couldn't think of a more fitting gift to send.
Oh man I love fresh curds. We do not get fresh curds on the West Coast of British Columbia. Last time I had fresh curds was in Oregon September 2008, Tilikum cheese factory was awesome with some great curds. As a kid in growing up in Ontario curds were a staple, if they didn,t squeek when you bit into them you returned them. Living next to a cheese factory as a kid was a dream come true.
Curds? In the words of former president Clinton, "Anybody seen Miss Muffet?"
OK, I'm convinced, note to self: look for curds. :)

Pennmac in Pittsburgh has mozzarella curd -- you use this to make fresh mozzarella http://www.pennmac.com/items/3469/
you should go check them out - they have lots of good pizza supplies. I have ordered from them before. I would love to shop at the actual store :)
Pensrock,
PM me your address and I will send you some curds. :)
Thanks Deb. I wonder if they are in the Strip District? Thats a big area where you can find just about anything. I'd love to make a trip there sometime.
Schneep, thanks for the offer but you do not need to do that, I'm sure now that I know what to look for I may be able to find them.

Thanks CRG, yeah its been rough... had my folks do my Christmas shopping for me this year been a tough one but I'm pullin through
Got my Christmas gift from my employer today, a lay off slip. Yep a couple days before Christmas and another layoff. I do not expect it to last too long this time, I know we got some work coming in, just do not know if its 3 weeks away or a couple months. I did pick up some pork butts over the weekend, .99/lb. So I'll get a couple of them in the smoker tomorrow for Xmas pulled pork. Then Wed. I'll probably do more cheese/pepperoni and pistachios. Thurs. is my BIL's Xmas party so I'll probably whip up some moinkballs to take with me.
Thats a nice lookin bunch of cheese you got there g, you goin to smoke any of it?
Sorry to here the news pensrock, thats gotta suck getting a lay off slip this close to Christmas.

Sorry to hear that Pens. I hope it doesn't last as long as mine has. I've been off since mid November and I still have gotten any unemployed benefits yet. I managed to get a weeks work at my old work place but I won't get paid till Dec.29th. So Christmas is a bust. I thought I would get paid on the 23rd but they just had their pay day so I am screwed till the 28th. Hope you get back soon.
Sorry to hear the news pens. This seems to be a prime layoff time; get 'em off the books before the end of the calendar year. Hope you get back soon.
I've been out for a little over 9 months now. Maybe if I move to India ...

still not feeling well yet. That swine flu is BAD!!! The Yo Yo Ma CD is good. Lots of big name artists join him on the album like James Taylor and Chris Botti. The Cd was just nominated for a Grammy Award. I believe it's song #6 with the Spanish bagpipes..........is a real toe tapper. I was going to add a medical mask with two small black circles like pig nostrils but I could not find one when I picked up the medicines.....curses foiled again!!! ;D Took forever for the package to get to you.....so much for PRIORITY MAIL!!! I'm glad you like everything! Merry Christmas and a HEALTHY new year.
