Here are the sparerib pix... not done yet but so far........

Last night,,,, heavy dose of Jan's Rub:



After 3 hours smoke at 200 - 225 deg F.    :P





Currently they are in foil with a splash of apple juice for 2 hours......... updates coming soon!

OK here is the rest of the story..............

Here is what they look like after 2 hours in the foil at 225.




Slather on some Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce:





After 1 hour in the Brady with the sauce on:





A table full of pleased family!

LOOKS AMAZING!!!! I have 2 slabs I'm gonna be doing this week for a trek up to Boston, if mine turn out that way I will be VERY VERY happy and so will my brother!

They were way, way good. They were a little sweet with that much sauce. I think next time I will try them with the rub only and let everyone sauce thier own.

I like the flavor of sauce but I don't like a whole bunch on my ribs. What I do is dilute some of my favorite sauce with apple juice and sprinkle a little of what ever rub I used. Sometimes I add a little honey or brown sugar as well. This more of a mop than a sauce. I usually apply it a couple of times. It always has just the right amount of sauce flavor for me this way.
