Someone made a new post.

I read it and saw it was a new member and I welcomed them to the forum.

I thought that is what we are suppose to do.

I didn't know welcoming new members screws up the forum.

I'll try to be more careful next time.

As a "Member Extraordinaire," you damn well should have.  Make a mess and leave someone else to pick up the pieces.  Poor Brian had to spend at least a minute to move the thread and unscrew it.  And did anyone offer him a word of thanks? (That's a rhetorical question).

I'll try to be more careful next time.

... and also a bit more sensitive to the consequences of your "shoot from the hip" mentality, I should hope!
