This is a copycat recipe that was passed on to me.
They are really good. Try it, let me know what you think.

Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuits

2 cups biscuit mix (Bisquick)
1/2 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese
2/3 cup milk
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Parsley flakes, for sprinkling

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 450.
2. Stir together the biscuit mix, cheddar, and milk until a soft
dough forms. Beat with a wooden spoon for about 30 seconds.
3. Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Smooth down the tops to
prevent hard points from forming.
4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the tops are brown.
5. While the biscuits are baking, melt the butter in a pan and stir
in the garlic powder.
6. Once the biscuits are done, brush the butter on tops, sprinkle
with parsley flakes, and serve hot.

Makes 9 to 12 biscuits

Thanks CRG,
I downloaded the recipe for the Red Lobster Biscuits from (believe it or not) the ABC News web site.
The site said it's the number one searched for recipe on the internet.
I haven't tried them yet do they come out pretty much spot on?

Carolyn, I think they taste better than red lobsters (IMO). They are good and worth the small effort it takes to make them. They are real good next morn with fried eggs.   CRG

This sounds good

I'm going to try this tonight and I just happen to have some smoked mild Cheddar that I think will go nicely in it.

Man that does sound good, these busicuits are really good already, but with smoked cheese , that may take them over the edge.
Let me know how they came out.   CRG

I have to tell you this.

My batch came out to 10 pieces. After getting them out, the door bell rang and it was my JD delivery. Last case I bought was gone by Friday last. By the time I opened the door, paid the man and hauled the new case in, all but one were gone. :'( :'(

I always like to try the recipe as is the first time. So I followed your recipe exactly, just dropped the parsley (I am allergic). Next time, could be tomorrow, I will make variations and report.

Did up a batch this weekend they were exultant, the only thing I changed was the smoked cheese. Thinking of grinding up some jalapenos and mixing in next time, kinda like I do with corn bread.

Will do again
